The University of Cadiz has more than 40 female researchers in the ranking prepared by CSIC

This week, in the framework of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the University of Cadiz gives visibility to the most cited female researchers in their fields. Our university has 44 female scientists in the ranking of Spanish and foreign female researchers working in Spain, according to data from their personal public profiles in Google Scholar, which has been compiled by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).

This list consists of the 5,600 female researchers ordered according to their highest h-index and, secondarily, by number of citations. Specifically, among the top UCA researchers are Vanesa España Romero, Elena Fernández Aréizaga, Ana B Hungria, Mónica García Alloza, Esther Berrocoso Domínguez, María Laura Martín Díaz, María del Carmen Puerta Vízcaino, Ginesa Blanco Montilla, Montserrat Pérez García, Ana Carbonell Baeza, Inmaculada Failde Martínez, Ascensión Torres Martinez, Rosario Hernández Galán, María Jesús Mosquera Diaz, Ana María Simonet Morales, Susana Trasobares Llorente and Pilar Azcarate Goded. The aim of this national classification is to increase knowledge about women researchers working in Spain and their work in Science and Knowledge, using a public access tool that is easy to create and consult.
