XXII Congreso Internacional ‘Carnavales de ida y vuelta: de Las Viejas Ricas a La Gaditana que volvió’
La Facultad de Filosofía y Letras acoge del 10 al 12 de junio este encuentro internacional impulsado por la Cátedra y el Aula del Carnaval

El rector de la Universidad de Cádiz, Francisco Piniella, en compañía del director de la Cátedra del Carnaval, el profesor Alberto Ramos, del Aula del Carnaval, Felipe Barbosa, el diputado provincial de Atención Ciudadana, Jaime Armario, y la concejala de Cultura y Fiestas del Ayuntamiento de Cádiz, Lola Cazalilla, presidirán el jueves 10, a las 16 horas y en el aula Magna de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, el XXII Congreso Internacional Carnavales de ida y vuelta: de Las Viejas Ricas a La Gaditana que volvió.

Este encuentro científico se organizará del 10 al 12 de junio desde la Cátedra de Carnaval de la UCA con el patrocinio y la colaboración del Ayuntamiento de Cádiz, la Diputación Provincial de Cádiz, la Junta de Andalucía, el Aula del Cultural del Carnaval de Cádiz y la candidatura a ciudad sede del X Congreso Internacional de la Lengua Española Cádiz 2025.

Medio centenar de expertos iberoamericanos y europeos participarán en este congreso internacional, que tendrá un formato mixto: presencial y virtual. El programa incluirá conferencias, mesas redondas, comunicaciones, exposiciones, libros y actuaciones musicales. Sus ponentes tratarán de temas como los carnavales realizados en Iberoamérica y la historia en diferentes ámbitos del Carnaval de Cádiz.

La primera conferencia será impartida – de manera telemática – el jueves 10, a las 17 horas, por el exdirector del Museo del Carnaval de Montevideo, Alejandro Rubbo, y se titula El Museo del Carnaval de Montevideo y sus programas.
