UCA researchers participate in the first building in Europe for warm climate with CO2 emissions and near-zero energy consumption

The City Council of Cadiz, through the Municipal Housing Company (Procasa), has proceeded to the delivery of keys to the successful bidders of the 28 subsidized housing units in special rental regime in the building at number 2 of Doctor Marañón street, a block that has become “a model in terms of energy efficiency and accessibility at European level”. In the framework of the European project  ReCO2ST, coordinated by the University of Cadiz, this is the first building in Europe demonstrator for warm climate and adapted to achieve the purposes of CO2 emissions and near-zero energy consumption.

This event, in Dr. Marañón street in the capital of Cadiz, was attended by the mayor of Cadiz, José María González, the General Secretary of Housing of the Andalusian Government, Alicia Martínez, the subdelegate of the Government in Cadiz, José Pacheco, the Vice Chancellor of Science and Technology Policy of the University of Cadiz, María Jesús Mosquera, and the professor in the area of the UCA and coordinator in this institution of the European project ReCO2ST, Francisco Sánchez de la Flor, among other authorities.
