Its objective is to continue promoting the gender perspective in the university community
The University of Cádiz, in compliance with its firm commitment to promote equality between women and men, published on April 25th the Second Equality Plan for Women and Men (BOUCA No. 283). In general terms, the 2nd Plan maintains the same structure and a significant part of the objectives and measures proposed in the 1st Plan. Although, other innovative measures that aim to continue promoting the gender perspective in the university community have been incorporated.
The 2nd Plan for Effective Equality between women and men includes six main axes: Promoting a commitment to equity and equality between women and men, Promoting the inclusion of a gender perspective in teaching and research; Promoting the equal participation of women and men in university life, guaranteeing equal opportunities in access to work and professional development for all members of the university community, as well as promoting the reconciliation of personal, family and professional life of all who work or study in UCA and promoting occupational health in gender perspective and contributing to eradicating gender violence.
In the development of these lines of action, 19 objectives were designed which, in turn, are reflected in 47 concrete action measures. The full document is available on the website of the Equality Unit: https://igualdad.uca.es/plan-de-igualdad/.
