The University of Cádiz has marked Book Day with an institutional reading of Don Quixote, held at the Campus of Puerto Real, as part of the University Book Week programme.

The event brought together members of the university community, including academic staff, students, and administrative personnel, alongside institutional representatives. The reading focused on Miguel de Cervantes’ seminal work, one of the most important texts in Spanish and world literature.

The initiative is part of the University Book Week 2026, organised by the Vice-Rectorate for Sustainability and Culture, which aims to promote reading, cultural engagement, and literary heritage within the university environment.

Through this activity, the University of Cádiz reinforces its commitment to cultural outreach and the celebration of major literary milestones, fostering participation from across its campuses and the wider community.
