The UCA completes the infrastructure plan for the Cadiz Campus with the 2nd phase of the Student House and the Multipurpose Building

The acting rector of the University of Cadiz, Francisco Piniella, accompanied by the acting vice-rectors for Students and Employment and for Digitalisation and Infrastructures, Manuel Sánchez and Carlos Rioja, respectively, presented the project for the second phase of the Student House and the complete refurbishment of the Multipurpose building, which will be joined with a new connection on the first floor. With this double action, financed with 2.6 million euros of the UCA’s own funds from unaffected carryovers authorised by the Treasury, “the infrastructure plan for the Cadiz Campus is completed, reflecting the progress and completion of those actions whose execution depends on our University”.

With a budget of more than 2.6 million euros and an intervention in different areas with a surface area of more than 4,000 m2 (of the 7,000 m2 of all the areas of the two buildings as a whole), the plan is, after concluding the tendering and awarding procedure at the beginning of next year, to carry out the works in a period of 14 months.
