The Social Council announces the 2025 Christmas Greeting Contest for UCA students

The works, which must follow the short vertical video format, may be submitted online until December 1.

The Social Council of the University of Cádiz has announced the 2025 Christmas Greeting Contest, an initiative aimed at all university students with the goal of promoting audiovisual creativity and encouraging reflection on the role of society within the University of Cádiz.

This contest invites UCA students to submit original videos in vertical MP4 format (1080×1920 pixels) with a maximum duration of 15 seconds, freely exploring the concept of society’s participation and representation within the University. Taking advantage of the festive season, the competition seeks to engage students through a creative and communicative lens.

Videos must be submitted before December 1, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., which is the final deadline for entries. Participation is open to any student officially enrolled in undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral programs at the University of Cádiz during the 2025/2026 academic year.

To formalize participation, interested students must complete the online form available at the following link:

The winning video will receive a tablet or an electric scooter, at the choice of the author. The jury will assess originality, synthesis capacity, and audiovisual quality.

It is worth remembering that the Social Council serves as the bridge between society and the University of Cádiz, playing an active role in strengthening their connection. This relationship is reflected in its ongoing initiatives, such as the recent meeting with the Cádiz and Ceuta Association of Social Graduates to promote an agreement on micro-credentials, or the announcement of the tenth edition of the Social Engagement Award. These initiatives aim to highlight and value the collaboration between the University and its surrounding community, recognizing joint efforts that generate a positive impact on society.
