‘TEDxCádizUniversity 2018’ takes place with a public that fills the hall 17 November 2018
More than 900 people attended this event organized by the UCA. His program is dedicated to love and includes lectures from different personalities, as well as musical and artistic performances
The University of Cadiz celebrated TedxCádizUniversity 2018 in the Congress Palace of the city, with soldout tickets. More than 900 people attended this event with an innovative format that chose for this occasion the motto That’s love: talk (seriously) about love. Love, from a general and diversified approach, taking on aspects such as the reprogramming of romantic love, nonverbal communication as a way of transmitting emotions, love for animals, the way a city draws our emotions or the vision of psychiatry on “heartache”.
The event is based on TED talks, an internationally recognized format consisting of short lectures, interspersed with concerts and artistic performances. This year, the offer includes cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary personalities, including Brisa Fenoy, Gregorio Olmo, Susana Ginesta, Leonardo Casais, José Luis Domínguez, Estrella Fernández, Chipi Lozano and Antonio Martínez Ares, accompanied by Potato Head Jazz Band, MarNegra (jazz & more ) and Antonio Romera Chipi (La Canalla).
TEDxCádizUniversity was born in 2015 to become a platform for free exchange of knowledge for committed people, belonging to the university community or the Cádiz society in general. Its goal is to raise awareness on the different issues of today’s society, through reflection and conversation around the challenge of paradigms and by providing value to the community.
