More than 14,000 young people in the province participate in the XIII Conference on University Orientation of the UCA

The Vice Chancellor for Students and Employment of the UCA, Manuel Sanchez, and the General Director of Access and Guidance, Rodrigo Sanchez, have presented, in the Argüelles room of the Constitution 1812 building, the XIII Conference of University Guidance (JOU) of the UCA. Its objective is to advise on access and the offer of degrees of the UCA to students of Baccalaureate and Higher Level Training Cycles. The sessions will be attended by 14,138 young people from 139 schools in the province of Cadiz in its four campuses.

Manuel Sanchez announced that this year the four UCA venues will be joined by a fifth in the town of Bornos (IES El Convento) to receive students from the Sierra, which is more difficult to reach the campuses by distance. The JOU will take place over seven days: from March 27 to 31, on the campuses of Jerez, Puerto Real and Bahía de Algeciras and in Bornos, and on April 11 and 12 in Cadiz. In this way, the future university students will go to the headquarters in the faculties distributed by the different campuses, a first contact, as Rodrigo Sanchez has recalled, that “is very important for them to know the facilities of their university and its staff, so we prefer that students move to the UCA to live directly the space and the university environment”.
