The new facility, located at the Higher Technical School of Engineering, strengthens applied research, technological innovation, and collaboration both across campuses and with the business sector.

Moeve and the University of Cádiz have inaugurated the Energy Transition Laboratory at the Bahía de Algeciras Campus, a new facility aimed at strengthening research, innovation, and collaboration in the field of sustainable energy.

The laboratory, located at the Higher Technical School of Engineering of Algeciras (ETSIA), is integrated into the university’s scientific and research strategy and focuses on key areas for the future of sustainable industry, including renewable fuels, circular economy solutions, and advanced energy technologies.

The initiative is supported by Moeve’s Innovation Centre in Alcalá de Henares and is part of the company’s broader commitment to fostering innovation ecosystems through collaboration with universities, public institutions, and industry partners.

Through this new infrastructure, the University of Cádiz reinforces its role in advancing energy transition research and in promoting knowledge transfer between academia and the productive sector, particularly within the Campo de Gibraltar region.
