UCA opens its doors to entrepreneurs with a forum to foster innovative ideas

UCA Emprende showcases the resources and facilities available at the El Olivillo Business Transfer Centre for students, graduates, teaching staff and researchers with projects.

The Universidad de Cádiz, through its UCA Emprende programme, held an open day at the El Olivillo Business Transfer Centre (CTE), in Cádiz, aimed at students, graduates, teaching staff and researchers interested in developing entrepreneurial projects. The event provided a practical overview of the resources, programmes and spaces that the institution makes available to transform innovative ideas into viable business initiatives.

The event began with an institutional welcome by the Director General for Entrepreneurship, José Manuel Sánchez, after which attendees were given the opportunity to present their ideas and take part in a networking coffee session focused on the exchange of experiences and the creation of contacts between entrepreneurs and the UCA Emprende technical team. The Explorer 2026 programme was also presented, followed by a guided tour of the University’s pre-incubation and incubation facilities.

Organised by the Directorate General for Entrepreneurship of the Universidad de Cádiz, this initiative forms part of the institution’s strategic commitment to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer from the academic sphere to the local and regional socio-economic environment.
