The I International Meeting on Knowledge and Blue Growth (InnovAzul 2018), celebrated at the Congress Palace in Cadiz, has fulfilled its objectives, in particular to become an international reference in innovation and growth in the field of the Blue Economy, after having developed a vast program composed of around a hundred activities and has brought together over two intense days over 1,400 people, 300 companies and more than 60 universities, research centers and administrations associated with the main marine-maritime sectors.

 

Configured from the first moment as a space for exchange between technology-demanding companies, administrations, creators of knowledge and technological agents for innovation and socio-economic development in the sectors of the Blue Economy, it has materialized this purpose with the celebration of hundreds of bilateral meetings, both formal (previously established through the electronic agenda according to the B2B meeting formula) or carried out in the networking spaces of more than 60 stands located in the exhibition area.

Organized by the University of Cadiz and the CEI · Mar Foundation, with the support of the Government of Andalusia and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the Department of Knowledge, Research and University of the Andalusian Government as main partner, InnovAzul is born with a vocation of continuity and quickly establishes itself as a meeting place for exchanging experiences and exposing progress in the field of the various marine-maritime sectors: shipbuilding and offshore, ports and port logistics, tourism associated with the sea, marine bioproducts , marine renewable energies and fisheries, aquaculture and processing industry
