Conferencia sobre los monjes basilios en la la Sala Argüelles

La Universidad de Cádiz, a través de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras y el Centro Universitario de Estudios de Asia Central (CUNEAC), en colaboración con la Universidad Católica de Ucrania (Lviv), organiza la conferencia Los monjes basilios: historia y legado en la memoria cultural europea, que tendrá lugar el próximo martes 28 de octubre, a las 18:00 horas, en la sala Argüelles del Edificio Constitución 1812 (Paseo Carlos III, 3, Cádiz).

El acto contará con la participación de Oleksandr Pronkevych, hispanista, profesor de la Universidad Católica de Ucrania, presidente de la Asociación de Hispanistas de Ucrania y colaborador habitual del Centro CUNEAC de la UCA, donde imparte anualmente el Curso de Historia y Cultura de Ucrania.

Durante la conferencia se abordará el papel de la orden de los monjes basilios, activa en los siglos XVI al XIX, como pionera en la transmisión de información sobre Ucrania en la España del Siglo de Oro, así como su vinculación con la figura de San Josafat Kuntsevych, considerado el principal santo de la Iglesia greco-católica ucraniana.

La entrada es libre hasta completar aforo y el evento se desarrollará en modalidad presencial y en idioma español.
