Evento I Open Femenino de Ajedrez ‘Bahía de Cádiz’

San Fernando acogerá el próximo 8 de diciembre el I Open Femenino de Ajedrez ‘Bahía de Cádiz’, organizado por la Peña Ajedrecista Isleña.

La cita pretende visibilizar y aumentar la participación de niñas y mujeres en el mundo del ajedrez. En Andalucía tan solo 7 de cada 100 jugadores de ajedrez federado son mujeres.

La idea y desarrollo de la propuesta ha partido de las chicas del club isleño, que han encontrado rapidamente apoyo por parte de instituciones y entidades públicas y privadas, entre las que destacan la Delegación de igualdad y Bienestar Social de Diputación de Cádiz, el Ayuntamiento de San Fernando y la Fundación Unicaja.

El Área de Deportes de la Universidad de Cádiz se suma a esta iniciativa otorgando el Premio a la Universitaria Mejor Clasificada.
