Estrategia medioambiental en los puertos y en el transporte marítimo de cara al cambio normativo IMO 2020 18 July 2019


OBJETIVOS:

El curso tiene como objetivo analizar las diferentes estrategias que tienen los
puertos y las navieras ante el cambio normativo que se realiza en 2020. A partir del
1 de enero de 2020 la Organización Marítima Internacional, organismo de Naciones
Unidas que promueve la cooperación entre los Estados y la Industria del Transporte
Marítimo para mejorar la seguridad y prevenir la contaminación marina, ha fijado
como límite mundial de contenido de azufre en el fueloil utilizado por los buques
en el 0,50%. La implantación de este límite reducirá la cantidad de óxido de
azufre procedente de los buques, lo que supondrá importantes beneficios ambientales
y de salud para las poblaciones cercanas a las costa y, en general, a nivel mundial.
