CEI·Mar impulsa el I Encuentro ‘Oceánicas’ junto al IEO, Ayuntamiento de Fuengirola e IMIO

El I Encuentro Oceánicas: pasado, presente y futuro del papel de la mujer en las ciencias marinas se celebrará los próximos 28 y 29 de octubre, organizado por el Instituto Españolo de Oceanografía (IEO) y el Ayuntamiento de Fuengirola (Málaga), con el apoyo del Instituto de la Mujer y para la Igualdad de Oportunidades del Ministerio de Igualdad (IMIO) y  del Campus de Excelencia Internacional Global del Mar (CEI·MAR). Las jornadas serán en el Palacio de la Paz de Fuengirola, con la participación de científicas pioneras en ciencias del mar, profesionales en activo que desarrollan su actividad de I+D+i en organismos públicos de investigación, universidades, fundaciones o empresas, así como responsables políticos que trabajan en materia de igualdad. Las actividades tendrán formato semipresencial debido a la actual situación sanitaria.

Este evento pretende  servir de foro de reflexión, debate y difusión de los problemas de desigualdad a los que se enfrentan las mujeres que trabajan en Ciencias marinas. Durante estas jornadas  se realizará un recorrido histórico sobre el papel de la mujer en las Ciencias marinas, se debatirá sobre las dificultades actuales que afrontan las mujeres en los distintos ámbitos y escalas de su carrera profesional y se propondrán medidas para seguir avanzando en la igualdad.

El I Encuentro Oceánicas tiene como fin dar visibilidad a las dificultades de las mujeres en la Ciencia, pero no es un evento solo para mujeres. La organización invita a la participación de todas aquellas personas, hombres y mujeres,  interesadas en el tema. Inscripciones por correo electrónico a encuentro.oceanicas@ieo.es
