18th TEM-UCA European Summer Workshop “Transmission Electron Microscopy of Nanomaterials”

El lunes 17 de Septiembre en la Sala de Grados 2 de la Facultad de Ciencias dará comienzo la Escuela 18th TEM-UCA European Summer Workshop “Transmission Electron Microscopy of Nanomaterials” (17-21 Septiembre), organizada por el grupo de investigación Estructura y Química de Nanomateriales (FQM334).

Durante esta semana, cinco conferenciantes revisarán los avances de la Microscopia Electrónica de Transmisión, se ilustrará cómo la Microscopia Electrónica de Alta Resolución, la Microscopia Electrónica de Aberraciones Corregidas y la Microscopia in-situ pueden combinarse para caracterizar nanomateriales a la escala atómica. Adicionalmente se introducirá la novedosa técnica i-DPC (Integrated Differential Phase Contrast) y se realizará una sesión práctica en el microscopio FEI Titan Cubed Themis 60-300 sobre la aplicación de la microscopía in-situ en el estudio de nanomateriales

A lo largo de ocho sesiones prácticas los alumnos trabajarán con distintas técnicas como la Tomografía Electrónica, la Espectroscopia de Pérdida de Energía de los Electrones, la Espectroscopia Dispersiva de Rayos X,  la Simulación de Imágenes y Modelos Estructurales y el tratamiento de imágenes. En esta edición, participan 21 estudiantes procedentes de Argentina, Alemania, Grecia, Portugal, Países Bajos, Reino Unido y España.
