Algeciras is the union point between two continents and is an important commercial and industrial centre strongly influenced by shipping activities. Located at the western end of the Bay with the same name, you can see from there the Rock of Gibraltar and it is separated from the coast of Morocco by 24 kilometres.
Within its 85 km2 of extension, it is found part of Los Alcornocales Natural Park, one of the biggest in Andalusia, with an important landscaping, ecological and hunting value.
It also has beaches of great interest as El Rinconcillo, San García and Getares, as well as one of the most important ports of Spain, where an intense commerce is generated.
The campus of the Bay of Algeciras, looking at the Strait of Gibraltar, is located around important municipalities like Algeciras, La Linea, San Roque and Los Barrios, characterized by port activities and constituting the most important industrial pole of Andalusia. This campus is characterized by offering degrees in engineering in its higher polytechnic school, including all possible options in technical industrial engineering and public works engineering, as well as an industrial engineer certification. The offer of the UCA is complemented by the possibility of studying Nursing.
